Will we get paid as singles or as a couple?

I have read several articles regarding the tax rebate scheme. My wife only made $2500 last year. Several of the articles indicate that couples will receive up to $1200. Is there any way to tell if a couple receives the $1200 simply by virtue of the fact that both people worked in 2007?

If you filed a joint return and your joint income qualifies, you’d get the “couple” amount.
you must have made at least 3,000weather you pay taxes or not checks will come in june also 300 for each child
they will receive 1200 because they are a couple it doesnt matter if one made a certain amount or not, until you get up into the higher earning brackets then that determines how much you get if any.
it’s going to go by how you filed your taxes for 2007…single,married filing jointly, etc.
