Try squaremouth.co.uk. It’s a comparison site where you can filter out products based on things like adventure travel, student etc.

The cheapest is of course not necessarily the best. Youl could try who have several long stay policies available, with full product details easily available.

try internet comparison sites, like money supermarket, kelkoo etc. as you are a student, does your uni or college not have recommended travel insurance in place? also post office is one of the cheapest but you could also try tesco, asda etc. but as I said before best to you the price comparison site on the web – much faster and easier! have fun on your travels!

You have to do a lot of searching on the net for best price vs best cover,
I found the best cover was with insureandgo, I got platinum annual worldwide cover for 2 adults and a child for 110pound.

A friend of mine travells every couple of months, she uses them and has had to claim twice too, there has never been any problems with her claims and they’ve paid up in good time for both. good luck

I used the Post Office when I recently went to Thailand, I think it was around £50. I also got my camera stolen when I was there and the claim was settled quickly. :o )

Try Swift insurance. I have my car insurance with them and they are the cheapest for that so presume they would be quite cheap for travel insurance too. They are internet based so they don’t have to pay anyone (apart from helpdesk) so you benefit.

Try the post office and check with your bank –some accounts give you free access to insurance.

No straight answer to your question, but I use Atlas Direct. They’re cheap and when I had a claim they settled it without any messing about.

    go to

Go to the hol insurance section and enter your requirements, it will compare all deals and offers in price order.

When i looked on there last time single trips for an individual in europe the charges started at about £3.00!!! May be a bit more expensive for further afield….
