What is a movie or story in which a character had to ask for help, and then eventually was successful?

It can be a true story or fictional, or any movie. They just need to have asked for help from someone, and then been successful.
Here are some recent ones:
“Akeelah and the Bee” – Akeelah has to ask Dr. Larabee for help – she then win the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
“Ratatouie” – A ne’er-do-well plonger – the secret son of a deceased chef – succeeds by masquerading as a chef with the help of a brilliant and talented rat; by the way, the rat CAN cook.
“The Incredibles” – Mr. Incredible tries to hide his return to super-hero work from his family and fails in a BIG way. Ultimately he asks his family’s help and they restore the reputation and need for super-heroes.
“Enchanted” – Giselle gets summarily banned from Andulasia because the crown prince loves her and gets shipped to New York City. She spends big parts of the movie asking the flora and fauna for help – even the daughter of her soon-to-be true love.
