How do I tell whether a movie is good or not?

I’ve been having difficulties with this for most of my life. When I watch a movie, I am too easily entertained; even the most garbage of movies will entertain me. I want to approach movies with a better taste, but I don’t know how to improve it. Any suggestions?

Good is relative to your taste.
If you enjoy a movie, it’s good for you.
I have the opposite problem from you, I have such narrow taste and I have trouble enjoying much of anything. If you’re going to be around other people and that’s why you want it to improve, try watching the classics (like Titanic, Schindler’s List, Casablanca, etc.) and find some similar movies. If you want to find more tasteful movies to watch, look at some that have won Oscars and other awards.

No ez way.You must watch more and more classical movies.And all sorts of them,action,comedy,romantic and so on.The most improtant is to watch the different kind of movies that peformed by the same actor,then you may find something from them.
Consider yourself blessed…there is so much garbage flowing out of Hollywood today.
